Hitched Music is a collective of some of the finest musicians in the country, working around a core of 4 top class players.
KLAUS WHITE – VOCALS/GUITAR
Klaus began his professional career as an actor/singer & guitarist playing the coveted lead role of Buddy Holly in the West End show ‘Buddy’ in 1999.
Following this success he worked in various national touring shows including Only the Lonely, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Stand By Your Man, and A View from the Bridge, and played the role of Maurice Gibb in the Maltese Touring show Staying Alive, and Jake Blues in the Blues Brothers show in both San Tropez and Latvia.
He has worked with many of the best known names in the music business including Jools Holland, Jeff Beck, Jocelyn Brown, Andrew Roachford , Hamish Stuart (Average White Band & Paul McCartney) Alexander O’Neil, Angelo Starr, The Sugababes, and Joss Stone.
Alongside his work with Hitched, he continues to be in demand as an educator, composer and performer with – amongst others – solo projects such as Montana Four, Jocelyn Brown and as a contributing writer/performer with the Allstars Collective.
DANIEL HALE – DRUMS
Dan began his career after graduating in 1999 playing with legendary American singer-songwriter Chip Taylor (‘Wild Thing’, ‘Angel Of The Morning’), recording and performing with him and associated artists (PP Arnold, Lucinda Williams, Carrie Rodriguez, John Platania) in the UK and Europe for several years.
Stints recording and performing with original artists on the East and West coasts of the US followed, before he returned to Europe to play ski seasons in the french alps, drumming 6 days a week entertaining the great and the simply very drunk of the skiing world.
He subsequently returned to the UK where he continues to focus on his work with Hitched as well as recording and performing for various artists, producers and live agents including Gigz Management, Sternberg Clarke, Psycho, Function Junction, Carte Blanche, The Bright Sparks, The Coverups, Mike Stock (SAW), Long Tall Sally, Steve Martland, and Montana Four.
ROBERT LOCKWOOD – BASS & VOCALS
Robert commenced his professional career in the entertainment industry as a musician at an early age playing bass in studio,function and showcase jobs. Deciding to further his passion for more aspects of stage-craft resulted in graduating with an Honours Degree in Acting from the prestigious Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. His premier acting job saw him playing opposite Finty Williams (daughter of Judi Dench) in ‘Northanger Abbey’ at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch. Shortly after this, he was cast in the West End production ‘The Buddy Holly Story’ and remained with the company as ‘Hipockets Duncan-Buddy’s mentor’on it’s fifteen month sell-out tour of Britain,Ireland and Denmark.
Among the many productions that Robert has been involved with are: Heaven Can Wait,The Anniversary-with Sheila Hancock and Clouds- with Tara Fitzgerald and Lloyd Owen.
Recently alongside his work with Hitched Robert has found himself in the enviable position of being first-call bassist for many functions bands both in the wedding and corporate sectors.
LAWRIE BOLTON – KEYBOARDS & VOCALS
Lawrie Bolton, born in Kent, has been a professional musician and songwriter for over 25 years. In 1986 he joined rock band ‘Catch 22’ as keyboardist. Production and writing followed including original material for TV shows (including the Jonathan Ross Show, Hit Studio International and GMTV). In 1991 and 1992 he spent some time in the USA as musical director for a cruise line, and returned to the UK to co-produce dance tracks and remixes for ‘The Music Factory’ production house. In 1996 Lawrie started his own production company, providing radio adverts and jingles for national and local TV and radio. After writing songs for albums by artists including Atlantic Soul Machine and Max Laney he worked on several projects in London and LA with singer John Joseph. In 2004 Lawrie joined The AllStars Collective – a band made up of some of Europe’s top session musicians. His live and studio credits include acts such as Jocelyn Brown, Sugababes, Justin Lee Collins, Junior, Roachford, Joss Stone and Hamish Stuart. Lawrie has also played in bands supporting major artists including Earth Wind and Fire, and more recently Chic with Nile Rodgers. He has also played at celebrity events- including the wedding of a current Man Utd and England footballer!
Currently Lawrie divides his professional time between writing, recording, performing live with Hitched and tutoring piano on the Commercial Music programme at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent.
